Rai has released music as ‘Rai Scott’, ‘user_ambiguous’,  ‘Serendipity’, and ‘2DeepSoul’ on labels which include Inner Shift Music, Chateau Chépere, Ornate, Church, We’re Going Deep, Fourier Transform,  Short Attention, Batti Batti, Minuendo, Late Night Running, Altered Moods, Shimmering Moods, No More to Roam, Yore, Deep Explorer, and tinyGreenLadybird. 

Her productions range into different areas like Deep Atmospheric House, Ambient House, Ambient Dub,  Deep Techno, Broken beat, and Ambient.  Her musical style is always on the deep and atmospheric side with hints of jazz and classical combined as she also plays and studies clarinet and piano.   She is also one half owner of the record label Inner Shift Music and a dj with a rather eclectic taste for true deep house, jazz along with pretty much anything warm and heady.  

Rai has recently started her own imprint which is a new sister label to Inner Shift called tinyGreenLadybird.  Her first release which is something different to her normal deep house – ‘Green Tea & Jasmine’ combines broken beat and ambient tracks from her user_ambiguous project.

Rai was one of the first female dj’s in the UK electronic music scene, spending most of her early music years as a free-party sound system dj in and around the midlands.   On occastion she was booked to play in London, and even did a night at the legendary Turnmills.  She claims a lot of her deep house records from those days came from bargain bins that nobody wanted.  One in particular was a test pressing by Rick Wade which was labled ‘2 Deep’ and consiquently shoved in the back of the bargain section.  Later on this was half of the inspiration for the name given to her collaboration project she shares with Brad Peterson called “2 Deep Soul”.   2 Deep, 1 soul. 

As well as performing live as 2DeepSoul with Brad P,  she also has her own solo projects with a more recent tour in South Africa with her deep house project; she has also performed under her user_ambiguous alias with her ambient and broken-beat projects in the UK.
