Description
Ancient Trees vs. Skyscrapers is the techno moniker of Brad Peterson. In 2016 he made the decision to seperate his Deep House sound and his techno sound, but only in 2021 did his first EP for this project arrive. Coming from a midwest (US) scene of the 90’s he was exposed to so many different styles of electronic music, on top of music he already loved like hip hop and jazz. In that time, if you were in any city up and down the midwest or southern corridor, it was as common to be surrounded by Chicago house as it was Detroit techno. The isolation of the small-town university he attended in the south, an abundance of second-hand music equipment shops, 3 hrs drive to Chicago and Detroit, and friends which always introduced him to fresh sounds from the UK and the rest of the world, is what gave him the foundation for his musical projects then and now. Ancient Trees vs. Skycrapers is a continuation of his electronic music projects which has evolved over the years. This is the debut EP so grab it while you can as once more begin hitting the shelves these will soon be out of stock.
